Make My Meal
Terms of Service
Effective date: 19 July 2026 · Last updated: 29 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Make My Meal ("the app", "the
service", "we", "us"), an AI-powered family meal and tiffin planner operated by
Atul Singla and Adarsh Grewal, based in
Mauritius. They apply to the Make My Meal Android application
(package name app.makemymeal.mobile) and the makemymeal.app website.
By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The service
Make My Meal helps households plan daily meals and children's lunchboxes (tiffin),
generates AI-powered meal suggestions and shopping lists, and lets you share cooking
instructions with your cook, helper, or family via WhatsApp. Features may change,
improve, or be discontinued over time.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be an adult (18 or older, or the age of majority where you live) to
create an account. The app is intended for parents and adult household members,
not for use by children.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter — especially
allergies and dietary restrictions — and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- If you enter details about other people (family members, your cook or helper),
you confirm you are entitled to share them and, where needed, have their consent.
3. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing
Plans
The app offers a free tier with limited features and a paid subscription,
MakeMyMeal Pro, available as a monthly or
annual auto-renewing plan. Prices are shown in the app in your
local currency before you subscribe and may include applicable taxes.
Free trial
- New subscribers receive a 14-day free trial. A payment method is
required to start the trial, but you are not charged during the trial.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically at
the end of day 14 and your payment method is charged for the plan you selected.
- The free trial is available once per Google account, across both plans.
Billing and renewal
- All purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see or store
your card, UPI, or other payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until you
cancel. Your payment method is charged at the start of each renewal period, subject
to any pre-debit notifications required in your country (for example, RBI rules for
UPI Autopay and card mandates in India).
- If a renewal payment fails, Google Play may retry and place your subscription on
hold; premium access pauses until payment succeeds.
Cancelling
- Cancel anytime in Google Play: Play Store → your profile →
Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MakeMyMeal Pro → Cancel. In India you
can also revoke the UPI Autopay mandate in your UPI app.
- If you cancel during the free trial, you keep access until the trial ends and are
never charged.
- If you cancel after being charged, you keep premium access until the end of the
period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Refunds for purchases made through Google Play are handled under
Google
Play's refund policy. Except where required by law, payments already made are
non-refundable and we do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods. If you
believe you were charged in error, contact us — we will do our best to help.
Price changes
We may change subscription prices. Price changes apply to new subscribers immediately
and to existing subscribers only at a future renewal, with advance notice through
Google Play and, where required, your consent.
4. AI-generated content and food safety
Meal suggestions, recipes, ingredient lists, and shopping lists are generated by
artificial intelligence based on the information you provide. AI can make mistakes.
- Always verify ingredients yourself against your family's allergies
and dietary restrictions before cooking or purchasing. The app's allergy filters are
an aid, not a guarantee.
- Suggestions are general meal-planning ideas, not medical, nutritional, or
dietetic advice. Consult a qualified professional for medical or nutrition
questions, including children's dietary needs.
- Nutrition figures are approximations. Calories and macronutrients
(protein, carbohydrates, fat) shown in the app are AI-generated estimates based on
typical ingredients and portions — they are not laboratory measurements, and actual
values vary with brands, quantities, and preparation. We are not nutritionists or
dietitians. Do not rely on these figures for managing a medical condition (such as
diabetes), for precise dietary tracking, or for any purpose where accuracy matters —
consult a qualified professional instead.
- Dietary preference options (such as high-protein, low-carb, or keto) shape meal
suggestions only; they are not an endorsement of any diet's suitability for you or
your family.
- You are responsible for safe food handling, preparation, and cooking.
5. WhatsApp messages
When you use "Send to Cook" or share a shopping list, the app opens WhatsApp on your
device with a pre-filled message that you send from your own WhatsApp
account. You are responsible for the messages you send and for having the recipient's
consent to contact them. WhatsApp is a third-party service governed by its own terms.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or exploit the service or its AI outputs to
build a competing service.
- Abuse free-tier limits, trials, or promotional offers (for example, by creating
multiple accounts).
7. Intellectual property
The app, its design, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors. We grant
you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your
household's private, non-commercial use. Meal plans and suggestions generated for you
may be used freely for personal purposes.
8. Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time (Settings, or by
emailing us). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse
the service. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play
subscription — cancel it in Google Play as described in section 3.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum
extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and we are not
liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the
app — including reliance on AI-generated suggestions. To the extent permitted by law,
our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months
before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law
in your country.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius, without depriving
you of protections granted by mandatory laws of the country where you live.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version at this
URL and change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated
in the app where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes
acceptance.
